This short hike offers some scenic views of Jalapa del Valle and the rolling hill country surrounding it. It runs along the ridge of hills just east of the village, coursing through woodland and fields planted with corn. The trail is little used and very faint in places. It also has some steep sections with loose gravel underfoot. Stout shoes with good ankle support and waffle-pattern soles are recommended. Hiking poles are a good idea, as well.
